1:1 Coaching FAQs

Leadership coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process designed to help you grow into the leader you're called to be.

Unlike training, mentoring, or therapy, coaching doesn’t deliver content, offer advice, or involve diagnosis. Instead, it creates space for reflection, insight, and purposeful action.

In coaching, you set the agenda. Your coach listens deeply and asks powerful questions that help you clarify your goals, uncover blind spots, and move toward meaningful change.

Coaching helps leaders reconnect with what matters most — their values, their vision, and their voice.

Coaching activates brain regions tied to motivation, emotional regulation, strategic thinking, and resilience — building the skills you need to lead with clarity and confidence, even under pressure.

Research shows that coached leaders develop greater self-awareness, communicate more effectively, and make decisions with purpose. For many, coaching becomes their most transformative form of leadership development.

After we’ve set your overall goals, each session begins with a simple question, like:

What feels most important to explore today?

From there, we dive into what’s meaningful about that topic — and what might be getting in the way of clarity or resolution.

As insights emerge, you'll identify purposeful steps to bring those insights forward in practice.

Overall, you’ll experience a grounded, values-based conversation designed to reconnect you with the leader you’re called to be.

Most coaching sessions are one hour long and take place online, though in-person sessions are available in Calgary, Alberta.

We typically meet monthly or semi-monthly, depending on your goals and the pace that feels right for you. Some leaders prefer a focused engagement over 3, 6, or 12 months; others choose a longer-term partnership to support ongoing development.

When working with leadership teams, we meet individually with each leader and bring the team together at the end of the cycle for a group debrief — creating space for shared insight and alignment.

Coaching is flexible and tailored to your needs. You choose the rhythm that supports your growth best.

Any topic that matters to you as a leader is welcome in coaching. It may be about self-leadership, professional leadership, or leadership in your family or community.

We often explore challenges like navigating change, leading through conflict, building trust, managing overwhelm, and making values-aligned decisions. Coaching can also support you in repatterning habitual responses to different triggers, strengthening emotional intelligence, deepening relationships, and finding clarity in complex situations.

Whether you're leading yourself or others, coaching helps you show up with purpose, presence, and resilience.

Absolutely. Coaching isn’t just for new leaders — it’s for anyone who feels called to it.

We all face moments of change, complexity, or challenge that we need to lead through in our lives. Coaching offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with your values — helping you lead with clarity, confidence, and renewed energy.

Many experienced leaders say coaching is the one place they can think out loud, explore blind spots, and make intentional decisions without judgment or agenda.

Coaching is a partnership — and fit matters.

The best coaching relationships are built on trust, curiosity, and a shared commitment to growth.

Before we begin, we’ll have a conversation to get to know each other. You’ll get a sense of how your coach listens, asks questions, and holds space — and your coach will learn more about what matters most to you.

From there, we'll both reflect on fit, and you can decide if coaching with us feels like the right next step in your leadership journey.

Coaching results are deeply persona — and every leader’s journey is different.

Some clients experience powerful shifts in just a few sessions, while others notice steady growth over time. It depends on your goals, your level of engagement, and the complexity of what you're working through.

Coaching isn’t a quick fix — it’s a process of deepening awareness, shifting patterns, and taking purposeful action.

What you can expect is a space where meaningful change begins and where your leadership becomes more grounded, intentional, and aligned with who you’re called to be.

Coaching helps you grow into the leader you’re called to be — with clarity, confidence, and alignment.

Over time, you may notice shifts in how you respond under pressure, make decisions, communicate, and lead others. You’ll likely deepen your self-awareness, reconnect with your values, and build the resilience to lead through complexity with purpose.

Transformation isn’t always dramatic — sometimes it’s subtle, steady, and deeply personal.

What you can expect is a leadership journey that feels more grounded, intentional, and true to who you are.

Group coaching programs focus on shared leadership challenges and opportunities. Groups are brought together based on common interests or experiences, creating space for reflection, skill-building, and peer learning.

While there may be a overarching curriculum for the program, participants also bring forward themes and help co-create the agenda.

While each group is tailored to the needs of its members, common topics include:

  • Navigating change and transition
  • Strengthening emotional intelligence and communication
  • Clarifying values and boundaries
  • Leading with care and accountability
  • Building resilience and managing stress
  • Enhancing team dynamics and collaboration

Group coaching is ideal for leaders who want to grow in community—learning from others while deepening their own leadership practice.

Group Coaching FAQs

Group coaching brings together a small group of people—often 4 to 8—who are navigating similar leadership challenges or growth goals.

It’s a powerful way to learn, reflect, and grow in community.

Your coach will guide the process, but the real magic happens in the shared insights, diverse perspectives, and mutual support that emerge among participants.

Each session is structured around a theme or question that invites reflection and dialogue. We use coaching tools, frameworks, and practices to deepen awareness and move toward meaningful action.

Group coaching isn’t group therapy or training—it’s a facilitated space for learning through conversation, curiosity, and connection.

Participants often tell me they leave sessions feeling seen, energized, and more equipped to lead with clarity and confidence. It’s a unique space where people grow together—and that’s something truly special.

Group coaching is a rich environment for leadership development because it combines the power of shared experience with the depth of coach-approach skills.

In this space, leaders don’t just receive support—they learn to listen deeply, ask powerful questions, and hold space for others. These are foundational coaching skills, and they’re also essential leadership skills.

As participants engage in the process, they begin to embody a coach-like approach in their own leadership—leading with curiosity, empathy, and presence. They practice giving and receiving feedback, navigating complexity, and supporting others without fixing.

Group coaching accelerates this learning because it’s relational, reflective, and real. Leaders walk away with new insights, stronger self-awareness, and practical skills they can apply immediately.

Absolutely. Group coaching is designed to support both collective learning and individual growth. While the group benefits from shared insights and experiences, each person’s voice matters—and is heard. Your coach creates space for every participant to reflect, ask questions, and explore what’s most relevant to them.

You’ll have opportunities to bring your own leadership challenges into the conversation, and your coach will ensure the process is inclusive, respectful, and responsive to each person’s needs.

Many participants are surprised by how personally supported they feel—not just by their coach, but by the group itself.

Group coaching doesn’t mean less attention—it means more perspectives, more connection, and more ways to grow.

Group coaching follows a loose curriculum built around a central theme—for example, values-based leadership, navigating change, or leading with emotional intelligence. Each session introduces a related topic or question designed to spark reflection, conversation, and growth.

While the structure provides a clear path, there’s plenty of room to explore what’s most relevant to the group. Participants bring their own experiences and challenges, and together we shape the conversation. That flexibility allows us to go deep where it matters most—whether that’s building trust, setting boundaries, or leading through uncertainty.

The goal is always the same: to strengthen leadership from the inside out, in a space that’s thoughtful, responsive, and grounded in real life.

Group coaching sessions are designed to fit into your life while still creating meaningful momentum. The length depends on theme—for example, group may meet monthly for six months or bi-weekly over three to four months, depending on the program.

Each session runs for about 90 minutes, giving us time to explore the theme, reflect together, and support each other’s growth.

This rhythm allows for deep learning and integration between sessions, while maintaining a strong sense of connection and continuity within the group.

As trust builds over time, so does the depth of insight and impact.

Yes—group coaching can be especially powerful during times of transition. Whether you’re stepping into a new role, leading through uncertainty, or rethinking how you show up as a leader, group coaching offers a steady, supportive space to reflect, recalibrate, and grow.

You’ll be surrounded by others who are also navigating change, which means you won’t be alone in the questions, doubts, or discoveries that come with it. The structure of the program—and the coach-approach skills we practice together—help you build clarity, confidence, and resilience in real time.

Change can feel isolating. Group coaching reminds you that growth is a shared journey—and that you already have what it takes to lead through it.

Yes—group coaching can be a great fit for introverts.

The space is intentionally designed to be thoughtful, respectful, and paced in a way that allows for reflection and meaningful connection. You won’t be put on the spot or asked to perform. Instead, you’ll be invited to engage in ways that feel authentic to you.

Many introverted leaders find group coaching especially valuable because it offers time to listen, reflect, and learn from others—without the pressure of constant interaction.

The coach-approach skills we practice together, like deep listening and asking powerful questions, often align beautifully with the strengths introverts naturally bring to leadership.

You’ll have space to share your voice, but also space to think, observe, and grow at your own rhythm.
